This Traffic Light System project uses IC 555 and CD4017 to automatically control Red, Yellow and Green LEDs in sequence. It is a simple and beginner-friendly electronics project for learning timer and counter IC working.
The IC 555 works as a clock pulse generator and continuously sends pulses to the CD4017 counter IC.
The CD4017 activates LEDs one by one in sequence, creating an automatic traffic light effect using Red, Yellow and Green LEDs.
The timing speed can be adjusted by changing the resistor or capacitor values connected to the IC 555 timer.
